A Harbor Story 20 Years in the Making
At FINS Grill & Icehouse, everything begins with Family, Friends, and Food. In 1987, a girl from Dallas met a young boat captain on spring break in Port Aransas. That chance meeting between Beth and Captain Kelly Owens began a life filled with salt air, early mornings on the docks, and a shared love for the open water. Over the years, they built a home, raised a family and carved out a place in a town that quickly became their world.
In 1996, Captain Kelly purchased the fishing marina where he had worked for years, Deep Sea Headquarters. The marina became a second home not just for the Owens family but for countless anglers who came back season after season. While running the marina and raising their children, Beth and Kelly began to see a need in the community. Families arriving from the beach and fishermen coming in from offshore wanted a relaxed place to gather. They wanted fresh seafood, a friendly atmosphere and a spot where kids and grown-ups could all feel at home.
